Scale point 5-6 depending on experience £17322.36 - £17612.04 actual salary for 28.75
hours per week hourly rate of £13.90 - £14.14
School hours work as follows:
Working hours Term-time only. Salary is calculated on weeks 38 term time weeks plus holiday pay therefore paid for paid for 43.33 weeks of the year, paid in 12 monthly payments
Robert Arkenstall has an exciting opportunity for a teaching assistant who has worked with and supported children in the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) to join their supportive team. The school has a dedicated EYFS base and learning area that caters for all areas of the EYFS, including an outdoor play area shared by all pupils from Reception Year. Early Years classes are currently led by our KS1/EY leader and work closely together within our mixed year classes. With a growing school roll we are keen to recruit an early years specialist to the Teaching Assistant team.
Under the instruction/guidance of teaching or other senior staff, you will undertake care and learning programmes and activities to support individuals or groups of pupils, including more specialised support for those with special education needs, enable access to learning for pupils and assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
The successful candidate will create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils’ work.
Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals and monitor pupils’ responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed and provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils’ achievement, progress, problems, etc.
In liaison with the class teacher support coordination of the deployment of 1:1 T who work with EHCP children on the base and who work on e.g. engagement model access in the base

Ideal candidates will:
• Have knowledge and experience of effective practice working in EYFS
• Have a patient and focused attitude towards the educational development of young children
• A good understanding of the Early Years Framework and 7 Aspects of Learning
• Willingness to support and contribute effectively towards the learning and observational assessment within the Early Years Profile.
