About this Role

We can offer you a rewarding opportunity to work in a welcoming and supportive environment. Our students are eager to learn, work hard and achieve well. Pupils and staff treat each other with respect and courtesy. Around the building and in lessons, pupils behave very well. Senior leaders are ambitious for Cottesloe students. The Headteacher is supported by talented and committed staff. Staff are very proud to work at the school. They feel valued because leaders consider their workload. Students describe the school as 'a big family' (Ofsted - Continues to be a Good school, November 2021).

We are looking for an enthusiastic full-time teacher with excellent knowledge and relevant teaching qualification to join our team and teach English at all Key Stages.

This post could be an excellent opportunity for more experienced teachers including KS2 teachers who would like to move into secondary teaching.  You would be fully supported by a successful and well-established team.

Early Career Teachers will be offered a contract from July 2025 and comprehensive two-year Induction support.

Please contact Jo Webber (Head of English) jwebber@cottesloe.bucks.sch.uk to discuss this role further or visit the school.

Please complete an application form, providing full details of your education and employment history.  CVs cannot be accepted.  Use the advert and the job description/person specification to explain why you are applying and why you are the best person for this role, giving specific examples where possible to demonstrate how you match the requirements and detail your experience of delivering teaching and learning and what impact your contribution would make in terms of raising standards at The Cottesloe School.

We will review applications on receipt and may close the vacancy early if a suitable candidate is found.
