About our school

Foxdell is a community-centred school which is currently rated as ‘good’. We are a new primary school, created in April 2022 by the merger of Foxdell Infants and Foxdell Junior schools. We are currently at an exciting stage of development where we are shaping the curriculum and assessment process to improve the learning experiences of our pupils. We are looking for candidates who have the knowledge, experience and drive to help move the school forwards in our journey.

Role

SEN Teaching Assistant  to support pupils and staff through the provision of general assistance in the classroom . To support the teaching and learning of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.  Will also entail 1:1 support, as well as working with teachers in a classroom environment.

 You will also assist with lunchtime activities and run intervention strategies

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of supporting pupils in the classroom 
  • Are friendly, caring, hardworking and supportive
  • Are flexible and have high expectations
  • Are committed to developing good relationships with staff at the school, children, parents and outside agencies
  • Have  a positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Have good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
  • Are willing and able to contribute to sport and physical activity
