Position Base: Victoria School / Victoria College campus, Northfield B31 1LD

Permanent Full time – 36.5 hours per week/52 weeks per year

 

Working Pattern:

5:30 am to 1:30 pm (Monday to Thursday)

5.30 am to 12:30 pm (Friday)

(please note that occasionally some weekend and out of hours work will be required)


Thank you for your interest in this post. We are looking for a permanent Building Services Manager to join our dedicated and hard-working federated site team. This position will be based on the Victoria School/Victoria College campus (Northfield).

 

The successful candidate will be a committed, reliable and self-motivated person, who is able to form positive relationships with a range of stakeholders. As the Building Services Manager you will work closely with the Site Manager and share responsibility for the security, safety, maintenance and cleanliness of the estate ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for our whole school/college community. This role will include co-ordination and management of external contractors and a requirement to undertake reactive repairs and maintenance across the campus.

 

Key Requirements

• Be hard-working and flexible and able to meet the physical demands detailed in the job description

• Able to demonstrate the practical skills required to be able to undertake a range of general grounds maintenance, decorating, repairs and property maintenance issues

• The ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a wider team

 

Responsibility for key holding and responding to out of hours alarm call-outs (on occasion) is a requirement of the position therefore a flexible approach to work hours is needed. Although based at the Victoria campus the successful candidate would be required to support other nearby settings in the federation when required.
