About this Role

and staff are highly valued. We wish to appoint an Academic Mentor to provide high quality, personalised
academic guidance and feedback on our student’s progress and performance. In addition, you will be
responsible for supporting our Sixth Form Students with their studies, working alongside our committed
Sixth Form team to ensure our students develop the habits and routines necessary for them to succeed in
their studies and achieve their ambitions. You will support our Higher Education programme, providing high
quality information, advice and guidance.
The successful candidate will:
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and maintain a positive and optimistic attitude
• Capacity and enthusiasm for hard work
• Ability to work as part of a team, in a flexible and co-operative manner, whilst also being selfmotivated
• An effective communicator at all levels
• Be highly organised and have the ability to effectively time manage and prioritise multiple tasks
• Have an excellent understanding of what makes outstanding careers provision
• Understand how to support Sixth Form students to succeed in their studies and to develop good habits
• Be available for results days in August and other key evening events such as Open Evening, Higher
Education Evening, Options Evening etc
