The Primary First Trust

About The Primary First Trust

Welcome to Primary First, a Trust that truly nurtures, celebrates, and values the distinctiveness of each of our Schools. We know they have unique characters and ways of working that best serve their communities.

Being part of The Primary First Trust is about protecting their independence and celebrating this, learning from and challenging each other, and using our experiences to inform and enhance best practices.

Our Trust is a true partnership with a growing network of primary schools across Bexley, Gravesham and Medway. All our Schools are at different points on their journey - each with a unique context, considerable strengths and specific opportunities. Our refreshingly collaborative way of working, enviable track record of school improvement and deep understanding of primary-aged learning give us an unmistakable edge in driving up standards in every area of school life.

We are committed to giving our pupils the best possible start in life and tirelessly work to enhance our schools. This is achieved through initiatives such as our robust school development framework and Trust services that offer expert advice for essential functions and demonstrate strong financial expertise.

We also know great education is only possible with great teachers and support staff. We support our colleagues every step of the way to empower them to deliver high-quality education and care.

Our Vision

The Primary First Trust. Visionary Leaders in Primary Education

Our Values

Our Trust Values are at the heart of everything we do

To ensure we achieve our vision, our three core values underpin every decision we make.

Adventure - To be bold, courageous risk-takers

Creativity - To embrace ideas, demand clear thinking and inspire innovation

Excellence - To set high standards, champion ambition and reward dedication

Safer Recruitment, Inclusive and Diversity

The Primary First Trust is committed to safeguarding, Prevent and the welfare of pupils.

All our roles are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and subject to an Enhanced DBS Clearance, health clearance, social media checks, a probationary period and satisfactory references.

The Trust strives to be an inclusive and diverse organisation where everyone feels able to be themselves and experiences a strong sense of belonging.

The Trust wholeheartedly supports the principle of equality and diversity in employment. It opposes all forms of unfair or unlawful discrimination on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sex.  We encourage and support the recruitment, retention, and career development of people from ethnic, cultural, and social backgrounds from as wide a range as possible, and we seek to develop a community of staff that accurately represents society as a whole.  All applications for employment with the Trust will be considered against the criteria outlined in the person specification for the position advertised.

No agencies, please.  We will contact you if we need support on recruitment.
