Welcome to The Bluebell Federation
Thank you for your interest in our community of schools which includes: Burnt Oak Primary School, Horsted Infant School, Horsted Junior School and Swingate Primary School
I am very proud to be the Executive Head Teacher of this close-knit federation of schools, who work together to establish the highest educational standards and extracurricular experiences, which give all of our children the very best opportunities in life.
Everything we do is framed around The Bluebell Federation mission statement known as ‘The Bluebell Way’ -
“We all flourish from a wealth of learning experiences that positively impact on our Academic, Physical and Emotional success”.
Children leave us in Year 6 having achieved our three core values:

We have developed a dedicated team of staff, Governors and parents who all contribute to enhancing the children’s experiences at school.
At the heart of everything we do are the children. Our child-centred approach provides students with the care and support that will help them to reach their potential and be ready for the next stage in their education.
The time they spend with us is an extremely precious time of enormous growth and change. Although learning is our core purpose, so is laughter, friendship, challenge, exploration, collaboration and ensuring children have the skills they need to keep themselves safe in the digital world they live in.
We seek to promote resilience and a deep-seated love of learning and of the world around us.
