Moorlands Learning Trust’s (MLT) vision is to enable all our students to succeed and excel, equipped with the knowledge and skills to make a positive difference not only to their own lives, but also to the lives of others. Put simply, our goal is to enable every student within our care, from whatever background and starting point, to receive an exceptional education and achieve their very best.
We believe the key to achieving this is partnership working, as a strong collaborative of local community schools. MLT partner schools share the same wider moral purpose: to play a key role in the development of our region and its future generations. MLT partner schools cater for students in their communities from all cohorts and demographic backgrounds, in order to ensure that individual context does not affect a student’s life chances.
At MLT, professional trust and integrity are at the core of our work; we respect the importance and value of individual schools having and retaining their own unique character, and recognise that schools know their local communities best. We therefore take a bespoke approach to working in partnership with our schools according to their particular needs and context, where there is not a one-size fits all viewpoint. Through being part of MLT, all schools learn from and challenge each other. They continually develop and improve their provision, by drawing on the best practice and expertise from across the Trust, to enhance the achievement of all students and to enrich their lives and the opportunities that they have - both now and in the future. Students’ future prospects are therefore enhanced by their school’s membership of MLT and its wider partnerships, including those in already successful schools, with local communities strengthened by the involvement of the Trust.
MLT schools, leaders and governors are aspirational for every student and all are committed to working together and playing their part in achieving success, whilst inspiring others to do so too. Our research-driven school improvement and support strategies, underpinned by our exceptional curriculum design and teaching and learning principles, mean that all schools within Moorlands Learning Trust are enabled and empowered to continually improve and ultimately excel.
We want all staff at MLT schools to feel valued, trusted and able to thrive professionally; we want parents and the wider community to be proud that their children attend an MLT school, secure in the knowledge that their child is well cared for and will succeed and achieve their very best as a result.
