At Woodbridge College we believe all our students should have equal life chances in terms of education, employment, independent living, good health, friends and community inclusion. We therefore offer individualised learning programmes to enable our students to have both choice and control over their lives.
We offer highly personalised and progression focussed learning programmes across the four elements of the Preparing for Adulthood Framework.
Our offer is based on the DfE 16-19 Study Programme elements. Students have the opportunity to work towards the achievement of their aspirations, whether these are linked to the development of their life skills or work skills.
The Woodbridge College offer involves opportunities for community engagement, the development of work and living skills, as well as leisure opportunities. All supported through a comprehensive accreditation offer.
As our college has grown, our offer has been continuously developed and adapted to the needs of our students.
A further Woodbridge College provision “Futures Plus” has been created to provide a meaningful destination with ambitious next steps for individual students which is accessed through personal social care budgets.
The college is split across two sites with students following our Skills for Life pathway based at our Kearsley site, and students following our Skills for Independence and Skills for Work and Living pathways based at our Heaton site. Woodbridge College also has an enrichment offer for students aged 19-30 which is available five days a week.
