Wooburn Green Primary School is proud to be part of the Great Learners Trust. The Great Learners Trust (GLT) was
established in 2014 in Buckinghamshire with the aim of promoting exceptional
learning. We are now a dynamic group of 9 primary schools, working generously
in collaboration to provide the best possible education for our children. Trust
schools are diverse and unique; this individuality is underpinned by common
principles, a shared ambition and a commitment to working closely together.
Belonging to the Trust enables schools to focus on the essential work of
delivering excellent teaching and learning. The Trust provides high quality school
improvement expertise and frameworks for school leaders and governors,
including strategic planning, financial and estates management, operations,
recruitment and policy development.
What is
Special About Our School?
We are a one form entry primary
school, with an attached preschool, where great learning happens every day.
Our motto is ‘GROWING LEARNERS FOR THE
FUTURE’ and our teachers, who are much more than just highly qualified professionals, work
hard to provide excellent learning opportunities that challenge, inspire,
motivate and grow each child into the very best that they can be.
Our Wooburn Green creative curriculum
offers all pupils enhanced learning experiences with the children taking part
in regular off-site learning activities. Forest School is part of our
core offer for all pupils across the academic year. This takes place with
our specialist teacher in our dedicated Forest School which is part of our
extensive grounds. There is also a large sports field, two playgrounds, a
growing area and a sensory garden for pupils to use. The children also
receive excellent sports coaching from Inspire Sports weekly and have the
opportunity to participate in a range of after school clubs and
competitions.
We set the highest standards for all
pupils at the school and closely monitor behaviour and attendance. The
result is happy, safe pupils who enjoy learning.
There are
currently 151 pupils on roll aged between 4 and 11
