At Wodensborough Ormiston Academy (WOA), we are more than
just a school – we are a community that believes in the power of education to
transform lives. As a popular and oversubscribed 11–16 mainstream academy, we
provide a nurturing and ambitious learning environment where every student is
encouraged to reach their full potential. Our commitment to inclusivity is
reflected in our additional specialist SEND provisions, including the Autism
Resource Centre (ARC) and Deaf Academy, which offer tailored support to young
people on the autistic spectrum and those who are deaf or hearing impaired. We
also have a bespoke sixth form, WOA6, which caters specifically to students in
Years 12 and 13 with EHCPs.
Our ethos, "Believe, Achieve, Succeed", is
more than just a phrase – it is the foundation of our approach to raising
aspirations and standards. We are dedicated to improving the life chances of
young people in Sandwell, working closely with families, local schools,
employers, and community groups to ensure our students receive the support,
skills, and experiences they need for a successful future.
We have the highest expectations of our students and staff,
fostering a culture of hard work, respect, and ambition. Our progressive
curriculum is designed to provide students with the core knowledge they need to
excel in their learning journey and beyond. With a dedicated team of specialist
curriculum, SEND, and student welfare staff, we ensure that every child’s needs
are met, enabling them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
We are looking for passionate, committed professionals who
share our belief that every child deserves the best education, regardless of
their background. Whether you are an experienced educator or an early-career
teacher looking to make a difference, WOA offers a supportive and dynamic
environment where you can grow and thrive.
