We are a large primary school which became part of the First Federation Trust on 1 September 2018. The First Federation Trust is a multi-academy trust of primary schools in Devon and Dorset. Its family of primary schools ranges from smaller two-class village schools to much larger urban primaries, and includes a mix of church and community schools. Collaboration across the trust and its family of schools is fundamental to its approach.

Willowbank Primary School currently has approximately 290 children on roll, taught across 10 classes. We aim to provide every child with the opportunity to be the best they can be. We provide a safe and stimulating environment where our school values of being respectful, caring, trustworthy, determined and honest are promoted and developed.  Cultural capital is important to us and we are proud of our Unique Curriculum Offer, providing all pupils with a wealth of hands on experiences and opportunities.

Our committed and talented staff work hard to ensure each child is supported and encouraged to do their best and take part in a wide range of opportunities. We want all of our children to have happy memories of primary school and we strive to equip them with the necessary skills and tools needed to be successful, lifelong learners. 

We are proud of our place in our school community and our Early Help Team endeavour to support the wider needs of our pupils, parents and wider community. Our Willow Branch base provides bespoke support for pupils supporting their Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, while our targeted parent offer provides workshops, cafes, a swap shop and a foodbank.
