Welcome to Willenhall E-ACT Academy. We are an over subscribed and welcoming local school with fantastic students.

I was thrilled to be welcomed as the new headteacher at Willenhall in December 2023. My focus is on ensuring that every student at Willenhall is able to thrive in their time with us. As an E-ACT school we are part of an Academy Trust with an unwavering commitment to ‘opening doors and opening minds’ for young people and exposing students to a world of opportunity.

My role is to ensure that every day at the school is calm, purposeful and welcoming for all. We love to have visitors and would encourage anybody considering selecting us as their school of choice, to visit and come and see the school in action. Schools are measured nationally in a number of ways and it is fair to say that we have work to do to become the school that our local community deserve. 

Our students benefit from a really engaging and broad curriculum in years 7, 8 and 9. This is to ensure that they are well prepared and informed to choose the subjects that they will focus on as they work towards their qualifications that they will achieve at age 16. In the five years that students spend with us, our mission is to help them academically flourish whilst also helping them develop and become inspired as young people. Whether it is leadership opportunities, community links, trips to Europe with our languages team or even the dance visit to Miami, there are activities for students with all sorts of interests. 

Our creative subjects are some of our strongest, with our students achieving particularly well in Art, Food and Nutrition as well as our exceptionally well-equipped Design and Technology facilities. Students with an interest in the Performing Arts can join our Music and Drama programmes, both of which provide regular opportunities for practice and performance.
