WELCOME TO WHEATFIELDS JUNIOR SCHOOL
Wheatfields Junior School is a three form entry school for children from Years 3 to 6 which is based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, and has 360 pupils on roll; most children transfer to us from Wheatfields Infants’ and Nursery School at the end of Year 2.
We are proud to have been judged 'Good' in all aspects when Ofsted visited the school in June 2017.
Wheatfields Junior School is proud to offer a broad curriculum which is inclusive, challenging, engaging and makes the most of a wide variety of enrichment opportunities for their children.
Our Vision is for - Inspirational teaching, within a climate of learning opportunities without limits, to develop emotionally intelligent children. We believe strongly in our whole school values, which relate to the unique qualities, interests and needs of our pupils at Wheatfields. These values are Pride, Relationships, Enterprise and Ambition.
Throughout each child’s time at Wheatfields, we develop these values and associated skills, through our teaching of the curriculum and wider school life. For example, we seek to develop enterprising individuals through the development of skills including: leadership, teamwork, problem solving, ideas and resilience.
We are a member of the Ambition Education Trust, a Trust where each school makes a powerful contribution to the on-going progress across the Trust, and we enjoy working in partnership and learning constantly from each other. Working collaboratively we remain focused on continuously improving to provide both rewarding careers for our employees’, and amazing experiences for the young people in our care.
