Upwood Primary Academy is a thriving, one form entry primary school in the Cambridgeshire countryside.   Our Academy sits in the village of Upwood, previously home to an RAF airbase (from which our school logo gets its wings).  Upwood is a warm and welcoming school sitting at the heart of a positive and welcoming community.  

As part of the Thomas Deacon Education Trust (TDET), we are committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our students. Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to ensure that every child receives a high-quality education that fosters both academic achievement and personal growth.

Our students engage in a wide range of activities, from participating in sustainability conferences to dressing up for World Book Day. For example, our Year 6 students recently returned from the TDET Sustainability Conference, where they brainstormed ideas with businesses on how to make our academy greener in areas like food, travel, and waste. They are passionate about creating positive change and making a difference in their community.
