United Communities is a growing charity that champions community-led, place-based approaches to local development, building on the strengths already present in neighbourhoods. By working with schools, we help create sustainable community anchors that deepen relationships, connect sectors and support local people to take action on the things they care about, where they live.

Our core offer is to support schools to develop community hubs that are shaped by their local context and rooted in relationships. The community hubs we work alongside offer a wide range of opportunities – from youth spaces and places for residents to connect, to community allotments and access to school facilities beyond the school day. Whether it’s community pantries, toddler groups or youth-led social action, we champion initiatives that are created with, and led by, local people.
