Message from the Head of School, John Player
On behalf of the staff and governors at The Stanway School, I am delighted to welcome you to our vibrant and inclusive community where every student matters.
At The Stanway School, we strive to provide a high-quality education that inspires and empowers our students. Our dedicated team of teachers and support staff are committed to creating a positive and stimulating learning environment where every child can flourish. We recognise and celebrate success wherever it occurs: in the classroom; on the pitch; in the studio; or in contributions to the wider community. Our high expectations for behaviour, attendance and punctuality help our students make good progress and we endeavour to match our teaching to students’ individual needs, interests and aptitudes.
We believe in fostering a culture of respect, kindness, and
hard work. Our curriculum is designed to challenge and engage our students,
preparing them for the future. We offer a wide range of academic and vocational
subjects, as well as extracurricular activities, to cater for diverse interests
and talents. At the heart of our curriculum is a strong commitment to teaching
modern British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and
mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and belief.
The Stanway School is a trusted and respected member of the
local community and we work exceptionally hard to provide the very best start
for our young people through outstanding teaching and the highest quality
guidance and support.
This is a very exciting time for the school, as we build on the back of another Good Ofsted report in June 2023 and work with BoldPrint Studios on SWIPED: The School that banned Smartphones, a landmark two-part documentary series which tackles the timely issue of the impact of smartphones on children’s behaviour. As Head of School, I am proud to lead such a community centred school and I look forward to our working together, to ensure a bright future for all our students.
