The St Marylebone CE School is a great place to work, learn, develop and make a positive difference.  Our staff know that they are part of something brilliant: giving young people the opportunity to excel, in a dynamic, creative and compassionate environment.  We take pride in our profession.  This is evident in the positive, supportive staff culture, the autonomy and creativity given to departments and the trust between colleagues and teams. 

We offer professional development for teachers at all stages of their careers and have developed some staff from Learning Support Assistant, through Initial Teacher Training, to NQT / Early Careers, to middle leadership and then to senior leadership.  Opportunities for growth include roles in curriculum, pastoral and safeguarding, teaching and learning, enrichment, outreach, management and leadership.  We have an in-house training programme and often work with external providers for CPD.  We are the delivery partner in the London Region for the new National Professional Qualifications. 

Opportunities to make a positive difference are also evident in our Support Staff.  As the backbone of the School’s functioning, we value the skills and knowledge of each member of the team, who also know that what they do and who they are really matters.  

Our Staff Association runs social events throughout the year, including a Staff Weekend Away, takes care to mark birthdays and special occasions and makes every effort to celebrate our people.
