About The Pingle Academy
The Pingle Academy is an oversubscribed, co-educational academy for students aged from 11-18. We are caring and inclusive with strong community links and a team of well-qualified and committed staff who aim to remove barriers to learning and facilitate progress for all young people.
On our large site we benefit from a wide range of specialist facilities, including a purpose built Sixth Form Centre, Learning Support Base, Autism Resource Centre and numerous sports facilities including a floodlit 4G Astroturf pitch and a newly refurbished swimming pool.
Students join us from a range of primary schools in the local area and the majority remain with us until they have completed their A Levels or equivalent qualifications. Students are attracted to our sixth form by our broad range of courses, our caring environment and our track record of success. Our students invariably go on to access the course, university or Higher Level Apprenticeship of their choice and we are very proud of their successes.
We aim to provide all students with a broad, balanced curriculum throughout their time at the academy, which provides the knowledge and skills students need for the next stage in their learning and ultimately for adulthood. We have the highest expectations of all students and the culture is one of high aspirations which enables our students to make good progress and achieve good results.
Our academy has a friendly, caring atmosphere and serves the community well. We have a clear purpose where everyone belongs, progresses and thrives and our values of “Work Hard, Be Kind, Choose Wisely” shine through in all that we do.
