I am delighted to introduce myself as the newly appointed Headteacher of The Pines School. It is an honour to join such a dynamic and compassionate community, and I feel privileged to lead a school that makes such a profound difference to the lives of children and young people.

At The Pines, pupils are at the heart of everything we do. As an all-age ASC-specific school, we are proud to provide a nurturing, inspiring, and inclusive environment for children aged 3 to 16 from across Birmingham.

Our core values—Protect, Inspire, Nurture, Embrace, and Succeed—are not simply words; they guide our daily practice, our relationships, and our vision for every pupil’s future.

Both Ofsted and our wider community have praised the school’s warm and inclusive atmosphere, calm and productive classrooms, strong relationships, and ambitious curriculum pathways that enable pupils to flourish both academically and personally. This recognition reflects the strength of our community, of which we are immensely proud.

I am excited to work alongside our dedicated staff, families, governors, and partners to build on these successes. Together, we will celebrate the individuality of each pupil and expand opportunities within and beyond the classroom, helping every learner to grow in confidence, independence, and success.
