About The Langley Heritage Primary

Headteacher's Welcome

About The Langley Heritage Primary

The Langley Heritage Primary is an oversubscribed and highly-regarded two-form entry school. It was graded ‘good’ by Ofsted in 2019.

Equity, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of the school's ethos and this is woven into all aspects of school life. It is our belief that in everything we do, children and people can impact change, this belief is the most powerful tool we can hope to give our children.

The Langley Heritage Vision

Proud of our children, proud of our school, proud of our community.

Achievement and high expectations for all through a curriculum defined by the principles of Curiosity, Exploration and Discovery.

We celebrate our diversity and strive for all children to develop the qualities and attributes needed to make a positive contribution to our society. All children are valued as individuals.

A community that is kind, respectful and supportive.

Values

Our values support our vision, so that we can all be the best we can be:

  • Unity
  • Ambition
  • Diversity
  • Kindness
  • Trust
  • Resilience

Curriculum and Museum Learning

Through our supportive Museum Learning team and partnerships with local and international museums, students gain access to extensive resources, inspiring visitors, and immersive real-world experiences. This approach brings learning to life, empowering children to achieve more, think critically, and make meaningful connections. This distinctive approach equips our pupils to succeed in an ever-changing world, validated by Ofsted:

"Pupils benefit from the school’s distinctive approach to learning... bringing learning to life using museum objects, stories, skills, and outside learning. Consequently, all pupils benefit from the same experiences.”

We foster curiosity, exploration, and discovery through play, hands-on learning, and enriching experiences beyond the classroom.

Curiosity
We nurture natural curiosity by creating environments where children are encouraged to explore and ask questions.

Exploration
Children use resources and artefacts to investigate ideas, supported by staff to ensure meaningful, child-led discovery.

Discovery
Through critical thinking and guided questioning, children interpret their findings, developing deeper understanding and learning.

Our holistic approach also includes a variety of extra-curricular activities, such as the Junior Duke of Edinburgh Award and sports clubs, ensuring every child can participate.

The Arbib Education Trust

The Langley Heritage Primary is one of three local schools that are part of The Arbib Education Trust - The Langley Heritage Primary, The Langley Academy Primary and The Langley Academy (secondary).

Arbib Education Trust Vision

We aim to provide an exceptional education through collaboration, high expectations and learning which prompts curiosity, exploration and discovery. We want our work in “the Arbib way” to be characterised by a determination to discover ways of succeeding.  We aim to work as a single community of schools sharing many ideas and investing in the future of every child and student in partnership with their families.

‘One community. Many ideas. Everyone’s Future’

What we can offer you….

The health and wellbeing of our staff is of utmost importance to us. We recognise that all of our colleagues have a life outside our school community. To support this, as part of our wider wellness programme we offer a wide range of benefits. Here are a few of the many things we offer:

Flexible working– a bespoke ‘Extra Flex’ scheme offers flexibility on when and where you work, as well as part time and job share options.

Trustee day – a term time day to attend events you wouldn’t ordinarily be able to attend. For example, one of our teachers who is fanatical about tennis went to Wimbledon and others have had the opportunity to celebrate their birthdays at Glastonbury, Henley Regatta and Alton Towers

Private Heathcare Scheme, cycle to work scheme, free use of The Langley Academy gym and hire of the sports hall at a discounted rate to help support a healthy lifestyle.

The benefits don’t end there though.  Please see our brochure below to see the full range of amazing benefits we offer.
