About The Lampard Community School

Welcome
A very warm welcome to The Lampard Community School. We are a Communication and Interaction special school based in Barnstaple, North Devon, and are part of The Special Partnership Trust.  We educate learners with complex learning needs between the ages of 5 and 16 (Year 1 to Year 11). We are very proud of everything that we achieve here, using our expertise and passion to support our students to live happy and successful lives as valued members of their community.
Our Mission Statement:
We are a positive learning community built on the relationships we make. Our bespoke EMPOWER Curriculum aims to promote independence, communication and emotional wellbeing. We are committed to providing our students with the best education based on these curriculum drivers to equip them to go on to live active and fulfilled lives as adults in the modern world. We want our students to realise their aspirations and make positive steps towards developing the skills needed for future employment.
We focus on skills for life and offer a rich, vocational curriculum enhanced by our commitment to Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) for all students. We have a school farm on site, forest school area, allotments, a motor vehicle provision, hair and beauty studio, independent living area and community cafe space to enhance our offer.
