The King’s CofE Academy is looking for exam invigilators to join the team to invigilate both public examinations and internal mock examinations throughout the year. Whilst the bulk of the public exams run from the end of April to the end of June, mock exam periods are held in in early December, January and July.
Exam invigilators play an important and valued role supporting our students at a very stressful time in their lives, by creating a calm and orderly exam environment where our young people can flourish..
A small number of students who have qualified for access arrangements because of additional needs require invigilators to scribe and / or read for them. This part of the role is optional , with additional training and guidance given to those undertaking it.
Applicants will need to be flexible, well-organised, reliable and punctual. Prior experience of invigilation or work in a school environment might be helpful but is not necessary as a comprehensive induction and full training program, followed by ongoing support, will be provided
Successful candidates will be joining a wider staff body who are welcoming , friendly and supportive - you will be very much a part of the academy team! As a member of staff you will have access to all staff benefit schemes provided by the academy and Three Spires Trust, which amongst others, include the Health Assured Employee Assistance Programme, enrolment into the Local Government Pension Scheme and reduced membership rates at Kidsgrove Sports Centre.
For further information, a chat about the role or to arrange a visit the academy to meet other members of the invigilating team and the manager, please don't hesitate to contact Mr M Toach., the Data & Exams Manager on 01782 783281 or email recruitment@thekingscofeacademy.org.
If you decide that the role is for you, members of the invigilating team are happy to help you through the online application process and assist when undertaking training.
We encourage candidates to apply as soon as
possible and reserve the right to close the vacancy early if sufficient
applications are received.
Three Spires Trust and its
academies are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
and expect all staff and to share this commitment. The successful candidate
will be subject to all necessary pre-employment checks, including: an enhanced
DBS; Prohibition check; Section 128 direction check; Childcare Disqualification
(where applicable); qualifications (where applicable); medical fitness;
identity and right to work. All applicants will be required to provide two
suitable references.
