The Grange Academy is a flourishing mixed, non-selective secondary school and sixth form based in Bushey, Hertfordshire, admitting students from the ages of 11 to 18.

"A very warm welcome to you and your family. I’m Dr Philip Hills and it is my pleasure and privilege to be the Principal of The Grange Academy. Both our incredible facilities and our expert approach to teaching and learning reflect a unique fusion of the traditional and the modern. We believe that all children should have access to the best things that have been thought and said. 

We have the highest aspirations for our students regardless of their starting points or backgrounds, and we foster a climate of resilience and perseverance in which academic success is always celebrated. By offering a broad range of activities and clubs we want all of our pupils to find areas where they will thrive and succeed so that they truly look forward to coming to school every day."

As part of the Future Academies MAT, opportunities for professional development are varied and rich, and go beyond just our academy. These opportunities include trust-wide CPD and subject-knowledge enrichment, and the development of interpersonal relationships with other staff beyond the local community. 

Future Teacher Training

As part of Future Academies, we are extremely fortunate to have links with Future Teacher Training, an Ofsted-rated Outstanding centre for teacher training, offering Apprenticeship and SCITT-PGCE routes into education. The course is academically rigorous, ranking in the top three ITT courses in the country, and offers placements based in both the Trust’s London and Hertfordshire academies.
