About The Bridge

Welcome to The Bridge, an independent Social, Emotional and Mental Health School welcoming students who have struggled to access a mainstream setting, offering them hope and most importantly, a future.

At The Bridge, wellbeing is placed at the heart of everything we do. We specialise in providing a nurturing environment that focuses on building confidence and resilience, empowering each student to reach their full academic potential and thrive in all aspects of life.

Our team are dedicated to creating a community of inclusivity, empathy and growth, where every student feels valued, respected and inspired to succeed. With small class sizes and an exciting variety of extra-curricular opportunities, students are given the tools to grow and develop a brighter future for themselves. Our aim at Key Stage 3 is to successfully re-integrate students back to a suitable mainstream setting and at Key Stage 4 students will usually stay and complete their GCSEs with us.

We are part of the LIFE Education Trust and work collaboratively with schools in Havering and Essex.

The Bridge has a Ofsted Good rating.

Our school motto is 'Hope and a future' and we share the Trust's vision to to build great learning communities where children flourish and demonstrate the Trust values of Boundless Creativity, Courageous Optimism and Heartfelt Compassion.
