About Swanshurst School

Swanshurst is a highly successful, oversubscribed school for girls aged 11-19 years. We are very large school with almost 2000 pupils on roll and this provides an incredibly stimulating environment for a diverse range of professionals who enjoy their work and enjoy making a difference.


Ofsted recently judged our school to be Outstanding for the second time. This achievement is not only something all members of our community are proud of, but it is a testament to our philosophy. Simply, we believe that the most important resource for our pupils is a staff body that are highly effective – great staff who can work at their very best every day provide the best education, support and care for pupils and families.
