About Summercroft Primary School
Summercroft Primary is a two-form entry school in Bishop's Stortford, with a core ethos of achieving through care, challenge and creativity.
At Summercroft, our vision is to create an inclusive environment where all children feel safe and respected and can flourish socially, emotionally and academically. We develop confident, compassionate and resilient children who have the skills and knowledge to thrive in a rapidly changing world: able to innovate, seize new opportunities and enhance their understanding of self, community and social responsibility. Together, we strive to encourage curiosity, embrace diversity, celebrate children’s strengths and interests and ensure that every child feels like they belong.
We take a proactive approach to supporting all learners in
overcoming their barriers, making progress appropriate to their individual
needs and fulfilling their potential. This is an ongoing cycle of reviewing and
supporting children’s evolving needs. The process sees relationship building as
a core value, between children, staff, families and professionals.
