About Stable and Wild

Welcome to Stable & Wild

At Stable & Wild, we do things differently. We are not a traditional education setting, and we are not a typical workplace. We are a purpose-driven organisation built on the belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to feel understood, valued, and capable of success — no matter their starting point.

For over 20 years, we have worked with children and young people who find mainstream environments challenging. Many of the young people we support are neurodivergent or have additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, trauma, or anxiety linked to school non-attendance (EBSA). Some arrive feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or lacking confidence. Our role is to meet them where they are — and help them move forward.

Our approach is grounded in animal-assisted and nature-based learning. Working alongside horses, goats, rabbits, and other animals, we create calm, engaging environments where young people can rebuild trust, develop emotional awareness, and experience success in a meaningful way. It is not about quick fixes — it is about lasting impact.

We are proud of the difference we make. Feedback from parents, schools, and commissioners consistently highlights the transformational nature of our work. Families often describe renewed confidence, improved communication, and a noticeable sense of calm in their children. Schools value our ability to re-engage learners who may have struggled elsewhere. Most importantly, young people themselves tell us they feel safe, understood, and able to be themselves — often for the first time in a long time.

Safeguarding sits at the heart of everything we do. We work with vulnerable young people, and we take that responsibility extremely seriously. Our team is trained, vigilant, and committed to creating an environment where every young person feels safe — physically and emotionally. We follow robust safeguarding procedures, prioritise clear communication, and ensure that concerns are acted on promptly and appropriately. This is not an add-on to our work; it is fundamental to who we are as an organisation.

Our work takes place across 17 acres of beautiful countryside in Central Bedfordshire. The natural environment is central to our approach — offering space, calm, and a sense of freedom that many of our young people have not experienced in traditional settings. Open fields, animal areas, and outdoor learning spaces provide the backdrop for meaningful engagement, reflection, and growth. It is a setting that supports both the wellbeing of our young people and the experience of our team.

Working at Stable & Wild means being part of something purposeful. Our team is made up of passionate, reflective, and committed individuals who care deeply about the young people we support. We value professionalism, but also authenticity. We expect high standards, but we recognise that great work comes from collaboration, creativity, and a willingness to learn.

This is a role for people who are adaptable, emotionally intelligent, and motivated by impact rather than routine. No two days are the same. You will be challenged, supported, and given the opportunity to grow — both personally and professionally.

As an organisation, we are continually evolving. We are committed to improving what we do, embracing new ideas, and ensuring our provision remains relevant, effective, and impactful. Whether through accredited courses, therapeutic programmes, or innovative outreach work, our focus is always the same: helping young people build confidence, develop skills, and create a more positive future.

If you are looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference — and be part of a team that values purpose, quality, and impact — Stable & Wild could be the right place for you.
