About
St. Paul’s (Slade Green) CofE Primary School
St
Paul’s is a dynamic, forward thinking learning community for pupils aged 4-11.
We aim
to provide a high quality education for all and work hard to achieve this. We
seek to raise pupil aspirations and equip them with the skills to be
independent and resilient, life-long learners. The school is highly ambitious
for pupil’s learning and sets high expectations for pupils’ behaviour, enabling
everyone to flourish.
St
Paul’s is a ‘good’ school, with a dedicated and supportive staffing team,
committed to raising standards and encouraging pupils to ‘Walk Tall’. We pride
ourselves in having developed a supportive and nurturing environment that
prioritises staff well-being and where staff and pupils feel welcome and
respected as recognised by Ofsted in September 23.
St
Paul’s has devised a tailor made Learning Quest curriculum, based on the National
curriculum, which focuses on providing rich and engaging learning experiences
to motivate pupils in their learning. We place high emphasis on the importance
of teaching phonics, early reading, maths and vocabulary skills in EYFS and KS1
to provide a strong foundation to learning.
St
Paul’s has a strong Christian vision which permeates through all that we do
“Always our best for God, each other and ourselves”. As a UNICEF Rights
Respecting Gold school, children’s rights are embedded across the school and
pupils are aware of their responsibilities as global citizens and are strong
advocates for fairness.
We
have established a positive culture in which staff embrace opportunities for
ongoing professional development and this is offered to all staff to develop
their careers.
Early
Career Teachers will benefit from an extremely comprehensive ECT programme
supported by the Thames South Teaching School Hub.
St
Paul’s is a wonderful place to work and if you’d like to be part of the St
Paul’s team, we’d love to hear from you!
