St Thomas of
Canterbury is a happy, welcoming Catholic school where children grow, flourish,
and learn in a supportive, nurturing community. We are a strong Christian
community, living out the Gospel values of truth, justice, love, peace, and
forgiveness through our core values of ready, respectful, and safe.
Our mission statement, “Let all that you do be done with love” (1
Corinthians 16:14), clearly and simply reflects the ethos we want to define our
school. It guides not only academic achievement but also how we treat one
another, serve our community, and prepare our children to navigate the world
with compassion, integrity, and purpose. Its simplicity makes it memorable for
pupils, staff, and families alike, shaping a shared culture that is authentic
and lived every day.
Every aspect of school life—our high standards across the
curriculum, research-informed teaching, behaviour guidance, and focus on
wellbeing—is approached in love for our pupils.
By grounding our actions in love, we foster a safe, respectful, and nurturing
environment where children can thrive, staff feel supported, and families are
part of a caring community.
We look forward to welcoming you and sharing our mission in
action.
