St Thomas' Catholic Primary School

About St Thomas' Catholic Primary School

As a Catholic school our fundamental mission is to promote positive values and virtues within our school community in which every person is respected as an individual, made in the image of Christ.  We will foster the spiritual development of each and every child and adult within the school. The promotion of Gospel values and British values are reinforced through the curriculum daily. We are fortunate enough to celebrate a class mass every week in our parish church of St. Thomas’.

We understand that as a school we reach far and beyond the walls of our physical building. You at home are the first educators of your child and we aim to work with families and extended families to ensure a seamless relationship between home and school. We engage with home through parent’s evenings, our very active school Facebook page, regular reports home, celebration assemblies, coffee mornings and much more. Induction evenings for parents are held in school, regular consultation evenings involve pupils in sharing and discussing their own progress in learning.

We are part of St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Multi Academy Trust which is a growing family of 63 schools across the Archdiocese of Birmingham, united by a shared mission to deliver excellent Catholic education that transforms lives.

We are inspired by St Gabriel the Archangel and guided by five values that shape our culture: Confidence & Humility, Peace & Courage, Faith in the Impossible, Listening with Love and Service Beyond Self. These values drive our commitment to helping every pupil and colleague flourish within our Trust.
