Welcome
to St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School
The
aim and overall purpose of St Teresa’s School is to develop the spiritual,
physical, academic and personal abilities of each pupil to enable them to reach
their full potential. To this end the School aims:
- to
provide a wide choice of activities and interests for a child to experience and
enjoy in a stable, loving and caring Christian community
- to
encourage and sustain each child’s natural curiosity and spontaneity, promoting
the development of a lively, enquiring mind, through involvement in a variety
of relevant and challenging first hand experience
- to
enable children to acquire and develop a range of skills and concepts, with the
ability to apply these in all areas of the curriculum
- to
help children to formulate a code of moral values based on the demands of the
Gospel and to understand the ways in which their actions and decisions affect
others
- to
develop the ability and willingness to co-operate with others and recognise the
independence of human relationships
- to
promote within each person a positive self image
- to
use our gifts to the full for the benefit of ourselves and others
- to
make prayer, worship and liturgy real educational experiences, which will
encourage each child to develop their own personal relationship with God in a
caring Christian community.
