About St Philip Neri With St Bede Catholic Voluntary Academy

Our school is situated in the heart of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, and has a rich history, which dates back to 1925! The current school site opened in 1960, originally as St. Bede's for secondary pupils. However, when All Saints' opened in 1974, the original St. Philip's school was demolished [in favour of a new Magistrates Court] and the primary school moved into the current building.

Presently, we have over 480 children on roll, aged 3-11. Our school serves the parishes of St. Philip's, Mansfield; St. Joseph the Worker, Sutton-in-Ashfield and Our Lady Help of Christians, Kirkby-in-Ashfield. We are proud to be part of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust.

At St Philip Neri with St Bede, all that we do is based on our Mission Statement: "We put Christ at the centre of our lives". By living this out, our children are proud to profess their faith, have a love of learning, a love of themselves, each other and our world. As a dedicated staff team, we strive to nurture every child’s spiritual, academic, social and personal development. Our ultimate aim is for children to be safe, happy, achieve success and to return eagerly to school each day.
