St Peter’s Catholic School is a special place, as a former pupil I feel privileged and honoured to be the Headteacher of this wonderful school.

St Peters was the ‘Rock’ of the Catholic Church and the first Pope, a Saint that was chosen to spread the good news, Faith is our Foundation and like St Peter we hope and encourage our pupils to use their God-Given talents for the benefit of our special community. We firmly believe all our pupils are made in the image of God and as individuals are special and have a purpose to make the world a better place. We encourage diversity and celebration our differences and hope to create an environment of tolerance, respect and care for each other.

Academic success is important, as demonstrated by our outstanding GCSE and A Level results and progress messages. However, we believe in developing the whole child and by providing a rich diverse extracurricular programme our pupils are given a wide variety of opportunities outside of the classroom. The relationships formed with the staff at St Peter’s is one of the elements that makes the transition from main school into our thriving Sixth Form. The vast majority of our pupils stay into Year 12 because of the trust and mutual respect developed between pupils and teachers.

Our Catholic Life, pastoral care, PSHE and Personal Development curriculum is outstanding ensuring all of our pupils are ready to embark on the next stage of their educational journey. Our high committed and dedicated staff go above and beyond to ensure our pupils succeed, planning and delivering exciting, challenging and engaging lessons.

We maintain high standards of attendance, punctuality, uniform and conduct and celebrate pupil successes wherever and whenever possible.
