About St Nicholas School

St. Nicholas School is situated in Southend-On-Sea and offers a quality, inclusive education for secondary aged students (11-16 years) with an Education and Health Care Plan. St. Nicholas is part of a Multi-Academy Trust, the SEN Trust Southend, along with three other local special schools.

St. Nicholas, or ‘St. Nick’s’ as it is known locally, is a thriving special school in Southend-on-Sea which offers students aged 11 – 16 years the opportunity to flourish in a safe, nurturing and creative environment. With just 100 students on roll, we maintain a ‘family feel’ within our well-resourced provision, where relationships are at the heart of everything that we do. The well-being and achievement of every student is our priority.  Our small class sizes of 12 students enable positive relationships to develop between staff and students and offer the support necessary for students to achieve their individual best.

All students on roll have an Education, Health and Care Plan and St. Nicholas is part of a Multi-Academy Trust, the SEN Trust Southend, along with three other local special schools.
