St Mary and St Giles Church of England School

About St Mary and St Giles Church of England School

St Mary and St Giles Church of England school is determined to be placed at the very heart of our local community and I am very proud to be the headteacher here with a staff team that is fully supporting the improvement work of the school.

St Mary and St Giles School serve the children of Stony Stratford on two sites.  Our south site on Galley Hill takes children from Nursery through to year 6 and serves Fullers Slade, Galley Hill and south Stony Stratford.  Our north site takes children in Key Stage 2 only (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6).

As a school, we are fully committed to developing each child’s unique potential within a secure, safe, caring and supportive environment. We believe that our children should not only reach their best academically but also enjoy an educational and personal journey that builds a thirst for knowledge and a love of learning.  We also believe that the children of St Mary and St Giles Church of England school should be happy and engaged learners, who work hard to reach the challenges set by their teachers.

"Our aim is for all to belong to a safe and happy community which celebrates our diversity and differences. Our children will be well prepared for the next step of their journey as responsible citizens. We aspire for all to flourish."

Every child is a gift from God – Psalm 127:3

Our Christian Values

Responsibility

Love

Thankfulness

Wisdom

Kindness

This means that we will do all we can to support your child so that they can be their best and do their best.

We welcome all local children to our school, those with the Christian faith, those with other faiths and those who do not express any faith.  All children are precious in our eyes and deserve to be treasured and supported in their growth, both academically and socially.

We want every child to be their best, to do their best and to feel that they belong to our school community.

Adam Palmer - Headteacher
