About St Mary's Rc Primary School, a Voluntary Academy

St Mary's School is a calm, friendly, warm and welcoming school which was founded by and is part of the Catholic Church. We currently have 95 children on roll and a 26 place Nursery. We are the only Catholic School in the town of Bacup, and our thriving nursery provides free and flexible childcare.  Offering all the advantages of a Church school, our roll is not limited to Catholics. We cater for families who believe in giving children a strong moral understanding of today’s world as well as an excellent all round education.  Our Breakfast club starts at 8am and After School Club runs until 5:15pm each day, enabling parents to have additional childcare on site (see the Charging Policy for current prices).
