Here at St Mary’s, we are a diverse and inclusive community, joined together by the belief that we can all ‘bring out the best in each other’.  We welcome children, families and staff from many different cultures, faiths and backgrounds.  At St. Mary’s we ensure that everyone in the community enjoys fullness of life and that they find their moment to shine in our warm, welcoming and successful school.  

We are a two form entry primary school, located in the Selly Oak area of Birmingham.  We are in very close proximity to the QE hospital and University of Birmingham.   

Our highly skilled and experienced  team  of staff live out the values that we teach our children.  Our SLT are focussed on supporting the school team to be able to do the best that they can for our pupils whilst being accutely aware of their work/life balance and wellbeing.  Staff Mobility in the school is low and this speaks to the fact that our staff enjoy working at the school.  

The school is graded as Good by Ofsted and recently received a very positive SIAMs report.  Our pupils do very well in national assessments and families work hard to support thier children and the school. 

At St. Mary’s we are more than a school community; our staff and  pupils tell us that they feel like we are part of their family.  We hope to welcome you into our St Mary's family too.
