About St Mary's Catholic Primary School

A very warm welcome to St Mary's Catholic Primary School, part of the Dunstan Catholic Educational Trust (DCET). 
St Mary's is a caring, friendly community in which happy children discover a love of learning. In line with the school’s mission, at St Mary's, we believe that we are all children of God, in one community, working together. We aim to nurture lifelong learners who are independent thinkers and we seek to equip each child with the knowledge and skills to understand and interact with their world. Our faith, spirituality and school values are the golden thread that run through our curriculum, ensuring that our children flourish and reach their potential in a place where Christ is at the centre of all we do.

St Mary's is a very special place and I feel extremely honoured and privileged to be the Headteacher of such a wonderful school and to work alongside the most dedicated, hardworking and passionate team of staff who are all committed to providing the best education for our children. Our most recent Ofsted inspection in May 2022 recognised our well-behaved, confident, respectful and happy children, our talented, dedicated and supportive staff and a wider curriculum that supports every child’s personal, social and emotional development. All children at St Mary's are nurtured to become the best version of themselves that they can be.
