About St Mary's Catholic Primary School
Learning to Live Out Our Calling with Compassion and Love
Our vision at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School is to provide the highest quality of education within a Catholic ethos. We are part of St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Multi- Academy Trust. Through the love of God, we nurture the uniqueness of each child, working hard using the talents God has given us for the good of other people and to achieve our best. Together, with our families, our parish and our local community, we seek to create a safe, happy school where we treat each other with love and compassion and where our children become confident and caring citizens with a passion for learning.
At St Mary’s, our teachings are underpinned by the Catholic Schools Pupil Profile Values.
These values, which we promote daily, support the school ethos and help us to live by the Gospel Values so that the children at St Mary’s grow to be . . .
Grateful for their own gifts, for the gift of other people, and for the blessings of each day; and generous with their gifts, becoming men and women for others.
Attentive to their experience and to their vocation; and discerning about the choices they make and the effects of those choices.
Compassionate towards others, near and far, especially the less fortunate; and loving by their just actions and forgiving words.
Faith-filled in their beliefs and hopeful for the future.
Eloquent and truthful in what they say of themselves, the relations between people, and the world.
Learned, finding God in all things; and wise in the ways they use their learning for the common good.
Curious about everything; and active in their engagement with the world, changing what they can for the better.
Intentional in the way they live and use the resources of the earth, guided by conscience; and prophetic in the example they set to others.
We are part of St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Multi Academy Trust which is a growing family of 63 schools across the Archdiocese of Birmingham, united by a shared mission to deliver excellent Catholic education that transforms lives.
We are inspired by St Gabriel the Archangel and guided by five values that shape our culture: Confidence & Humility, Peace & Courage, Faith in the Impossible, Listening with Love and Service Beyond Self. These values drive our commitment to helping every pupil and colleague flourish within our Trust.
