“I am delighted to welcome you to St Mary’s Catholic Primary School. Our school and nursery serve the local community of Market Weighton and the surrounding villages within the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (St Mary’s) Market Weighton and St John the Baptist, Holme on Spalding Moor.

At St Mary’s, our dedicated staff and governing body work with our parents developing the foundations of learning of the whole child. We offer an exciting, balanced curriculum which meets the needs of all our children and is carefully matched to their differing abilities. Every child experiences opportunities to express their skills and talents in an environment where they are nurtured and feel happy and secure.
When you choose St Mary’s we join you, as the first educators of your child on the individual journey of each and every child entrusted to our care. A partnership that grows and strengthens throughout the years at our school.

St Mary’s is a caring, friendly school with the Gospel values at its core. The Catholic family ethos is evident throughout, with Christ is at the centre of everything we do. Our mission statement is embedded in every aspect of school life:
