About St Mary's Catholic Primary Academy
Our school was founded in 1846, serves the parish communities of St Mary’s and St Albans, and is part of a family of primary schools within the Diocese of Leeds and a member of the Blessed Peter Snow Catholic Academy Trust. St Mary’s is a very popular school with an excellent reputation for its friendly, caring atmosphere and pastoral care.
At St Mary’s we always keep Christ at the heart of everything that we do, as we nurture and support our pupils in reaching their full potential in every way. We celebrate each child's unique and individual qualities and work closely to ensure our children feel safe, enthused in the classroom and are challenged in their learning. All of our staff care deeply about our children's well-being, education and faith. We actively encourage parents to become involved in their children’s education, and through partnership working we endeavour to make every child's journey through St Mary's one that is rich in learning, excitement and love.
