Welcome to St Martins School
St Martins School was established in September 2012 as Shropshire’s first ‘all through school’, educating children from age three to sixteen. It was formed from Ifton Heath Primary School and Rhyn Park School and Performing Arts College.
We joined The 3-18 Education Trust in 2016, where the ethos and vision fitted perfectly with our family and child centred values.
As a 3-16 through school at the heart of the community of St Martins, we are able to deliver child-centred, individually tailored education because of our small size and unique position in the community. The family ethos of the school surrounds all who work and study here creating a safe, supportive and nurturing environment. We value academic progress and social development equally.
As an ‘all through’ school we are able to utilise primary and secondary expertise across all areas of the school. Our core subject groups work across the school tracking progress and ensuring the curriculum develops effectively from each year group and phase. Students in primary phases have access to secondary subject specific teachers and specialist classrooms. We have an engaging and challenging curriculum that draws on the uniqueness of our ‘all throughness’ enabling a seamless transition from primary to secondary.
Through learning beyond the classroom, our students have their eyes open to the world beyond their small rural village. Educated with global knowledge, our students have high aspirations and go on to achieve great things.
