St Joseph & St Theresa Catholic is a one-form entry primary school within the parish of St Joseph’s Church Burntwood, with a pre-school nursery.  Our school is a community, children, parents, staff and governors all work in partnership towards the same aim: for all children to foster a love of learning and be provided with an environment in which they feel safe, happy and able to achieve their God given potential.

Our school has a clear Catholic ethos that places God at the centre of all we do; alongside this we have a commitment to providing excellent teaching, learning and outcomes for all children.  Through our school mission statement, Catholic Pupil Profile virtues and Catholic Social Teaching, we help our children to ‘grow together with Jesus’, these core values mean the children are well prepared when they leave our school to live a successful and fulfilling life.

Through our broad and engaging curriculum, we provide opportunities for our children to – foster a passion for learning; develop curiosity and imagination about the world; and nurture an understanding of the importance of their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of others.  Our well-rounded curriculum allows children to develop high aspirations for their learning and identify their individual gifts and talents so that all children experience success.

Our school has a dedicated team that strives to achieve high standards in all we do.  This is strengthened further by our successful relationships with parents, the parish, the local community and other schools in our Catholic Cluster and locally.  Parents are the first educators of their children as such we fully understand the importance of the partnership between home and school and regard parents as active partners in their child’s education, valuing your interest and support.
