Thank you for taking the time to find out about our incredible school. We hope the information given will be helpful in providing you with a glimpse of what we offer for our children and community. This website will give you lots of information about our school, but you are so very welcome to visit us to look around, ask any questions and see our school in action. Information which we simply cannot mirror on our website.
At the beating heart of St. Joseph’s is love – everything is built on this. When you enter our school you will feel how special St Joseph’s is – you will pick it up within the first minute of being here! With love as our core value, our culture and daily climate is set. Love sets our standard; it is not simply an emotion or a ‘buzz’ word. It is demonstrated in everything we give our children and the community; our determination for success, our (infectious) perfect determination to give our children the very best education!
The Governors and staff aim to create a caring Christian community where children can flourish in a stimulating environment. Developing the whole child is a central part of the school’s mission; ‘As a family with God in our hearts, we love, laugh and learn'‘
We have high expectations of all our pupils and we are committed to developing every child to reach and exceed their potential.
Our school is a very happy, safe place to learn. A place where children are encouraged to thrive and develop into young people, in a school community where learning, both academic and personal, will continue regardless of age, ability level, race, gender or physical ability.
We have supportive Governors, dedicated staff and proud, enthusiastic parents. We expect outstanding behaviour, hard work and respect for everyone. A culture of being positive, where children are rewarded for their ‘can do’ attitude to school and life, is at the forefront of all we do.
We warmly, and equally welcome Catholic children, children of different faith, and those who do not follow a faith. All are welcome.
We look forward to seeing you and sharing what our ambitious school has to offer.
Yours Sincerely,
Mr Luke Gilhooly
