Welcome to St Joseph’s Catholic Academy. We are proud to be part of the Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust and serve the communities of South Tyneside and East Gateshead.

We are an OFSTED Good School in all areas and on a journey of continuous improvement to ensure that we provide outstanding opportunities for the students in our care both inside and outside of the classroom.

Our site was redeveloped in 2010 through the Building Schools for the Future Scheme. As a result, we have excellent purpose built facilities and modern equipment which has helped us develop a learning environment where each child can fulfil their potential.

St Joseph’s has a strong Catholic ethos and a tradition of excellent academic achievement dating back to the 1950s. Our FLAME values of Faith, Learning, Attitude, Mutual Respect and Enrichment underpin our pursuit of excellence in the 21st Century.

The Love of Christ Spurs us on to ensure our students are prepared for life in modern Britain equipped with the skills, attitude and qualifications to be successful. We have an exceptional staff team who are committed to ensuring that all of our students are given the support and teaching required to help them realise their goals.
