I am delighted to welcome you to St John Fisher Catholic Primary School in Pinner.

I am proud to be the Headteacher of this wonderful school.  The website aims to showcase just how special the school is; you will see that Christ, His teachings and His values are at the centre of all that we do for our children.  Our Mission Statement ‘Growing and Learning together with Christ’ captures perfectly our vision of being a Christ-centred community which recognises that we are all God’s children ‘made in the image and likeness of God’.  At St John Fisher we aim to help children develop in their journey of faith in a positive learning environment where the gospel values of Faith, Hope, Love, Wisdom, Courage, Justice and Respect are at our core.  In doing this we are able to provide all children with the opportunity to achieve academic excellence, to thrive and flourish.

We are an expanded three form entry primary school which first opened in 1973.  St John Fisher is linked with the parishes of St John Fisher, North Harrow and St Luke’s in Pinner.  We have 630 children on roll from Reception - Year 6. Our children are representative of the borough of Harrow so we are rich in diversity and we celebrate this.  We have high standards for academic achievement with progress and attainment consistently above the national and local authority average. At St John Fisher we seek to nurture and grow the special gifts which make each child unique.  We achieve this by providing a secure and caring environment, educating the ‘whole’ child.  As a result of our strong community links, pastoral care and the curriculum we offer, we are a happy and highly successful school committed to providing an outstanding, fun and inspiring education for our children.

We value the full contribution to school life that parents make and the support offered by our parish, the Governing Body and our supportive and committed Parent and Friends Association.  St John Fisher is a very special and unique school where staff, pupils and parents strive to create a positive learning environment, devoted to promoting the spiritual development of pupils whilst providing an excellent educational experience.
