Main Responsibilities and Tasks
Within our Trust school volunteers may be utilised to support the classroom teacher in
facilitating the active participation of children in the academic and
social activities of the school. Activities may include:

Support pupils with reading and literacy
activities
·
Build positive relationships with children,
staff, and families
·
Work collaboratively with teaching staff to
enhance learning experiences
·
Offer patient, one-on-one attention and small
group support
·
Accompanying school visits
We’re looking for someone who:

Has strong verbal communication and active
listening skills
·
Demonstrates confidence in reading aloud and
engaging young readers
·
Builds rapport easily and works effectively with
both children and adults
·
Is respectful, approachable, and full of
positive energy
·
Brings patience and encouragement to every
interaction
