St George’s is a
unique place to work. It is the perfect blend of high quality, innovative
teaching and a community that cares. We have a highly supportive pastoral
system, as well as a residential state boarding community. Our school is
dedicated to its Christian principles and strong commitment to the values of
mutual respect, endeavour and community. We hold on to our traditions and
embrace the future with equal relish.
St George’s is a
consistently high-performing school and rated outstanding by Ofsted. We are
driven by our passion to provide the best learning and life experiences we can
for the pupils entrusted to our care.
Our School is a thriving 11-18 all ability, co-educational school. There are approximately 1,400 pupils, around 110 of which are boarders. We are always over subscribed in terms of application for places in both Year 7 and Sixth Form entry. There are over 80 well qualified and committed full-time and part-time teachers: the full complement of adults employed by the Governors is over 220.
We believe that our staff are the best asset that our school has. We appreciate the skills, knowledge and understanding that staff bring to all aspects of school life. We are always encouraging staff to continue to develop their own skill base and experience, as well as provide opportunities for the sharing of that knowledge with others. We consider ourselves to be a supportive and friendly environment.
We hope that you
will share our enthusiasm and drive to continue to make St George’s an exciting
and caring place to work and learn.
In addition to a competitive salary, you will also have access to these great benefits.
St George’s School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and visitors to share this commitment. All staff are subject to a satisfactory full-enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
All job applicants are required to provide evidence of right to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide sponsorships.
