About St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School
‘Learning
& Growing Together in God’s Love’
St Francis of Assisi is a two-form entry Catholic primary school and part of the St John the Baptist Multi-Academy Trust. Located in expansive grounds within walking distance of the centre of Norwich, we are regularly able to take advantage of the many cultural and historical opportunities the city affords. With around half of our pupils speaking an additional language, we are a multi-cultural, happy and vibrant school, committed to inclusivity, excellent teaching and learning and with a strong commitment to supporting positive mental health and well-being for all. Whilst we have a strong Catholic identity, we welcome pupils and staff from other faith backgrounds or who have no faith.
Our creative, carefully constructed and
deliberately sequenced curriculum provides all pupils with outstanding opportunities
for learning. We extend this approach to all staff, offering regular and
carefully planned professional development for teachers and support staff
alike; we are a school where adult skills and talents are recognised, nurtured
and developed.
St Francis was judged ‘Good’ at the last
OFSTED inspection in 2019, and ‘Outstanding’ in the Catholic Schools Inspection
of 2020. Our school driver words - ‘Aspiration, Innovation, Diversity and
Spirituality - and our three school rules – Be Kind, Be Brave, Be Involved
encapsulate our vision for all who work and learn at St Francis.
